Kinesiotaping using the application of FLEX TAPE - FlexTape is a type of therapeutic kinesiology tape designed to aid in the treatment of sports injuries, delay muscle fatigue, assist in muscle and joint stability, promote blood flow for faster recovery, and maximize physical performance.

According to FlexTape, athletic performance can be maximized when the tape is applied over a muscle that is stretched, the tape causes the skin to lift, accelerating blood flow to the muscle which increases oxygen availability causing a reduction in muscle fatigue. FlexTape can also be applied to promote lymphatic drainage which decreases swelling or build up of toxins produced by muscles during rigorous efforts.

FlexTape also states it helps maximize athletic performance by not only reducing muscle fatigue, but by promoting proper functional form as well. FlexTape aids in proper form by helping athletes efficiently coordinate their movements, leading to decreased energy use and maximized performance. Unlike normal athletic tape, which can constrict blood-flow leading to increased muscle fatigue and decreased performance.
